Kimmis Pun, President

Kimmis Pun is the Managing Director, Head of Greater China Market, of a Qualified Full License international bank in Singapore. She has obtained her academic qualification MBA from Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, and professional qualifications CFP, ChFC, CWMA, AIF, AEPP from United States of America, Switzerland and Singapore.

Besides her busy schedule, she is active in community services and social contribution. Being a strong believer in philanthropy, life-long learning and sharing, she speaks frequently at seminars and gives lectures at universities and academic institutions since 2003 in Asia Pacific Region.


Quek Ser Choon, 1st Vice-President

Ser Choon started her career as an IT professional with experience in information systems analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance. Subsequently, she specialised in software quality assurance and process improvement frameworks. She is now the Head of Information Systems and Administration in a statutory board.

She serves in the Quality Assurance Chapter of the Singapore Computer Society as its President. She maintains ties with her alma mater, presiding in the alumnae association. She is also the Vice President of the Business and Professional Women’s Association (Singapore) – Third Chapter.


Janet Ruth Sosna, 2nd Vice President

Janet is a Chiropractor by profession. She is a naturalised Singapore citizen, originally from New York. She is considered one of the pioneers of the chiropractic profession in Singapore and the Southeast Asian region.

Janet joined Singapore Business & Professional Women's Association (SBPWA) during its 1985/1986 year for both its local networking opportunities and its international outlook. She served in various roles in SBPWA executive committee in the 80’s and 90’s, and after a hiatus, rejoined the executive committee as Vice -President in 2010/2011. She was nominated to the FBPWS executive committee in 2010.


Peggy Kwong, 3rd Vice President

Peggy is the director of a medical communication company, working with medical associations and pharmaceutical companies in strategic planning in the Asia Pacific region. Running medial conferences and events are her expertise and she is also a local healthcare magazine publisher.

Having lived in UK and Hong Kong, Singapore is home now and she is a true believer of the importance of work life balance and the role of woman both in the commercial world and the home environment.


Tan Gim Hian, Honorary Secretary

Gim Hian is a BAcc graduate with an MBA in IT Management. She has worked as a Regional Finance Manager in various MNCs since graduation in 1990. Subsequently she ventured out as a Consultant in China and Indonesia on her own. Currently she is a Finance Analyst and Subject Matter Expert in an MNC. She is dedicated to her family and loves gardening and singing in her leisure time.

Gim Hian has been an active member of the Business & Professional Women’s Association (Singapore) – Third Chapter since 2004 and an EXCO member since 2006.

She has also been serving in the Federation of Business and Professional Women (Singapore) since 2010.


Linda Chiang, Honorary Treasurer

Linda is a Master Financial Consultant with Prudential Assurance Company Singapore Pte Limited. She has been with Prudential for 16 years as a licensed Associate Financial Planner and Estate Planner. She is involved in the advising and planning for individuals, business owners and corporations in the areas of risk management, legacy planning and business continuity and protection.

Linda is currently the First Vice President of the Singapore Business & Professional Women's Association.

Married with 4 children, she enjoys meeting people, sharing and learning, chilling out and dancing.


June Pok, Membership Chairperson

June's experience in journalism, public relations and events management has come in handy when she is organising events for her fellow BPW members.

As the former Young BPW Representative for the Asia Pacific Region (2011-2014), she spearheaded the inaugural Equal Pay Day campaign in Singapore in 2013, by organising a dialogue session “Don’t Discount Our Pay – We Are Worth It” to draw attention to the wage gap between men and women in many countries including Singapore.

June is currently the President of the Business and Professional Women's Association (Singapore) - Third Chapter. She enjoys travelling and watching movies during her spare time.


Helen Guo, Public Relations Chairperson

Helen has been a Director of a Pre-School and a Student Care Centre since year 2005. She holds a BSc in Business Management (Hons) from National University of Ireland Dublin(NUID). She has served as Honorary Treasurer and Honorary Secretary from year 2010 to 2014 for Singapore Business & Professional Women’s Association-Mandarin Chapter(SBPWA-MC). Helen is currently serving as 1st Vice President for SBPWA-MC.



Teresa Teo Lay Yan, Finance Chairperson

Teresa is currently the founder and Managing Director of Dove Doodle Pte Ltd, a social enterprise. She was appointed as the Honorary Secretary of the Business and Professional Women’s Association(Singapore)-Third Chapter. She is also a freelance trainer and conducts workshops for preschool teachers.

Teresa worked at the Ministry of Health for 22 years, involving in both clinical and dental health education work before joining the early childhood field as an early childhood educator and subsequently as a Research Associate in research work. Teresa holds a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education(with Honours) from the University of South Australia and MA in Early Childhood Studies from the University of East London, UK.


Elssy Teo, United Nation Status of Women Chairperson

Elssy has over 12 years’ experience in marketing and is currently an agency’s account director leading the key client relationships within numerous leading global and regional FMCG brands on branding, packaging and retail. Elssy is currently serving as the Programmes chair for Singapore Business and Professional Women’s Association (SBPWA).


Beth Candice Wu, Young Business and Professional Women Chairperson

Beth Candice Wu is an Entrepreneur and Director of HoneySpree, a pro-family health food & gifts retail business. Having attained a 2:1 BSc in Business Management, she continued her professional growth in Marketing and is now a MCIM–Chartered Marketer. Currently, she is pursuing a Specialist Diploma in Health Promotion as she is an advocate for healthy living.

Beth Candice Wu serves as the present Membership Chairperson for Singapore Business & Professional Women's Association. At a more personal level, she loves to travel. She is a vocalist in a band, a soprano in her church choir and she enjoys healthy cooking, pop piano and ballet.


Valerie Xie , Committee Member

Valerie started her career as a regional headhunter working with multinational companies on their talent needs. She is now with LinkedIn Asia Pacific as a Corporate Sales Manager focusing on the Malaysia market, consulting business leaders on transforming their organisations through social media strategies.

Graduated with Distinction from Australia National University with Masters of Business Management, Valerie is knowledgeable in the areas of marketing, human resources and international business.


Fiona Tan-Low, Committee Member

Fiona is SBPWA Editorial & Publicity Chair, a role she reprised from the 2013-2014 term. She was the Membership Chair for 2014-2015. She studied throughout her career, attaining Advanced and Graduate Diplomas, and a Bachelor of Arts (Upper Second Class Honours) in Administrative Management.

Before starting her own business in 2011, Fiona served with a global mining corporation as Shipping Documentation Specialist for its chartered vessels. Although she enjoys traveling and karaoke, Fiona’s first true love is in creative writing. She hopes to become an accomplished novelist.


Brenda Cheung, Committee Member

Brenda is the Executive Director of Iseen Health & Medical Services Pte Ltd. She is the past President of the Federation of Business and Professional Women (Singapore). She is also one of the founding members and past President of Singapore Business and Professional Women’s Association-Mandarin Chapter. Brenda enjoys dancing, singing and cooking.


Sia Sheau Chwen, Committee Memberr

Chwen is a trilingual Executive/Life Coach, Corporate Training Facilitator, Interpreter and Translator by profession. She has coached and trained top management of Fortune 500 companies.

Chwen joined the Business and Professional Women’s Association (Singapore) – Third Chapter in 2014 and is currently serving as the Programmes Chair. She is also the President of the Japanese Studies Alumni Association of National University of Singapore. In her free time, she volunteers at Beautiful People as a Big Sister for under privilege teenage girls and is also active in Camp Vision, a camp for the youth at risks.She enjoys singing, baking and stage production of drama and operas. She is a keen movie watcher and enjoys travelling.


Vivien Goh, Immediate Past President

Vivien has been a member of the Singapore Business & Professional Women's Association, since 2004. During this time, Vivien has served in various positions such as Programmes Chair, Honorary Secretary, Vice President and President before assuming the position of President of the Federation of Business and Professional Women (Singapore).
A graduate of the National University of Singapore, Vivien is a seasoned marketing, communications and business development professional with more than 20 years experience in Asia Pacific.
